This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on Revise Radiology's website.
Information we collect
When creating an account, you will be asked to enter an email address and a password. We will also require your country and city of residence. This is to help us better understand the demographics of our users.
We do not send promotional emails. Your email address is only used for:
- Logging in.
- Resetting your password if you forget it.
- Responding to any feedback or support emails you send us.
- Notifying you of important account-related matters, such as security or billing problems.
We store information about your performance on individual questions so we can provide you with an accurate summary of your performance. We also collect aggregate statistics about all questions and modules that subscribers engage with.
Like most websites, we also store information through the use of software that may be transparent to users. For example, we may log your IP address and general information about your browser.
Like millions of other websites, we use Google Analytics to track visitors to the site. Google Analytics is a piece of software which gathers data about our users (you).
Google Analytics records the website you came from to get here, how long you stay for, what kind of computer you're using and many more metrics and shares this with Revise Radiology. All activity on Revise Radiology falls within the bounds of the Google Analytics Terms of Service.
We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website and customer support.
We do not share your personal information with outside parties.
We may share anonymous aggregate statistics with outside parties, such as how many users subscribe to our services.
We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.
In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
We implement a variety of security measures to help keep your information secure.
For example, all pages are served over HTTPS. Payment information is never captured nor stored on our servers, this is handled by a secure third-party company called Stripe. We do not store your actual password, they are hashed instead using advanced cryptographic methods. At the time of writing we use bcrypt but we may upgrade this in the future.
Accessing your information
You may access or change your information (such as your email address and password) instantly from your settings page. You can delete your account by emailing email@example.com. Requests for deletion may take up to 48 hours.
Third party links and content
Revise Radiology occasionally displays links to and content from third-party sources of information (such as Wikipedia). These have their own independent privacy policies and we have no responsibility or liability for their content accuracy.
Use of medical images
All images on the site are fully anonymised and use of these images is in accordance with paragraphs 10-12 of the General Medical Council's guidance document entitled Making and using visual and audio recordings of patients.
Originality of content
All questions and material available on Revise Radiology are original content created by our team. Our questions are meant to be representative of the Royal College of Radiologist's FRCR examination. However, we have neither direct knowledge of the exam content (other than having sat the exams ourselves in the past) nor do we use any material directly recreated from previous FRCR examinations, which is copyrighted by the Royal College of Radiologists. We adhere fully to the College's Examination Misconduct Policy.
