Bi-Monthly Vivas
Bi-monthly viva sessions are live, online teaching events held twice a month — on the first and third Saturdays. They are included as part of the FRCR 2B Combined subscription.
What happens in a session
Each session runs for a full day and covers approximately 30 cases. The format is designed to replicate the real viva exam as closely as possible: candidates present cases to experienced examiners, receive individual feedback, and observe others presenting.
The number of hot seats varies depending on how many cases are covered and how much teaching time is needed. We aim to provide at least one hot seat per session — additional opportunities are a bonus, not a guarantee.
Across a full month (two sessions), candidates typically see around 60 cases with 4 examiners. All cases are unique across the six sessions in a subscription period.
Recordings and packets
Recordings are uploaded within 3 working days of each session
Recordings are available to view for 3 months following the session
Viva packets from the session are available for approximately 15 days after the session, with reports going live the following Saturday
Scheduling
Sessions are held on the first and third Saturdays of each month. On occasions where another course takes priority, the third-Saturday session may be moved to a suitable alternative date within the same month.
