The Showcase Short Cases Course provides structured, teaching-focused sessions built around FRCR 2B short cases, delivered in a supportive learning environment. Sessions are led by experienced faculty with direct experience of the FRCR 2B examination format.

The aim is simple: a clear approach to short cases, structured thinking, and stronger answering technique.

Structure

Each session lasts 1 hour 30 minutes, with 4 sessions per day (6 hours of teaching in total).

Session format:

• Short Case Packets – Each session covers one Mastery short case packet, giving 4 packets per day.

• Faculty-led teaching – Faculty teach, guide, and break down the approach to each short case, with explanation and discussion rather than rapid review of answers.

How it works

Every session follows the same structure:

• No pressured "hot seat" – all candidates take part together via chat and can engage actively throughout.

• The case or image is displayed on screen by the faculty.

• Candidates submit their answers and questions via chat.

• Faculty then teach and break down each case: - How to approach the case - Key findings and structured reasoning - Exam technique and how to structure your answer - Relevant management principles in the UK context
