The viva cases will be presented to candidates on zoom where the candidates will be given links to the examiners' case folders for them to scroll through in real time. Online Vivas

There will be a total of 8 viva sessions during which you will get to see a wide variety of cases. On the Standard course, you get 4 hot seats each lasting 15 minutes and followed by 10 minutes of feedback. When you are not in the hot seat, you will be observing other candidates on the hot seats. This is a great opportunity to learn how other candidates present and also the feedback they receive from examiners.

The Cases are presented to candidates on Postdicom using Zoom where the candidates will be given links to the examiners' case folders for them to scroll through in real time. The session will run to closely simulate the actual examination experience with 15 minutes of viva presentation followed by 10 minutes of feedback.

The selected set of examiners includes experienced as well as new FRCR examiners. This means that the viva packets they use are of a similar standard to the FRCR examinations.

Written Packets

There are 4 written packets of which one will be done live as a mock exam during the course.

There will also  be a session discussing the packet that was done live.

We expect that candidates aim to complete a long case packet in 70 minutes and a rapid reporting packet in 30 minutes.

Candidates will use the Revise Radiology website where they will get access to the written packets.

There are model answers available for all packets as well as pre-recorded videos with discussion of the packets.

Viva Style Tutorials

The viva style tutorials allow participants to challenge their diagnostic and presentation skills.

Candidates have the opportunity to be on the "hot seat," presenting directly to experienced examiners, while others observe and receive valuable feedback.

The viva style tutorials are an opportunity for observers on the course to present cases and receive feedback on their presentation style.

After a certain candidate has presented a case and received feedback as well as a score for the case, the next candidate will present the next case and so on.

This format allows you to observe multiple candidates' presentation style in a group setting while also making use of the Examiners' feedback and teaching around the case.

Everlight Radiology
Everlight Radiology Logo

Everlight Radiology is a provider of teleradiology services based in London and Australia. They are a company founded by radiologists with an emphasis on high standards of reporting and an exemplary reputation.

For over a decade, Everlight Radiology has been a lifeline to hospitals, private imaging clinics and corporate radiology providers across the UK, Australia and further abroad.

Established in Australia as Imaging Partners Online in 2006 in response to the increasing demand for round-the-clock, outsourced radiology reporting, we first entered the U.K. market in 2010 as Radiology Reporting Online – a partnership with University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH).

Having offices on opposite sides of the world was an integral part of our founders’ unique vision – to make the most of international time zones and provide 24/7 radiology reporting, while ensuring our team of Radiologists only ever worked ‘daylight’ hours.

This is a vision that has allowed Everlight to grow strongly since those early years. Our Radiologist team has grown to more than 200 all GMC specialist consultants who have extensive NHS experience, reporting on more than 650,000 examinations a year for NHS hospitals. We are operating out of offices in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, along with a number of specialists working from their homes further afield – including America, Canada and continental Europe.

While our team and our workload has significantly increased, our commitment to quality reporting has remained steadfast. All of our reporting is subject to in-depth peer-review processes, and we have extensive quality assurance systems in place to help us exceed the accepted benchmarks for accurate reporting.
