What it gives you
- It makes the course more affordable. Teaching covers up to half of the fee, and a resitter who qualifies for Resitter Support can bring the cost to nothing.
- Teaching experience for your portfolio.
- Recalling material and explaining it to others is a form of active recall that supports your exam preparation.
- The Scholar Faculty title and certificate for your portfolio.
When it doesn’t suit people
- Each session takes about 2.5 to 3.5 hours including prep time, and most scholars run one a week. You may not have this time available.
- Sessions are scheduled, so they are harder to move around than revision is.
- If your exam is close, fewer sessions fit before it, so teaching covers less of the fee.
