Learn radiology by reporting cases

Most ways of learning radiology are passive: textbooks, videos, lectures. Core works the other way around. You report a case yourself, then compare your report with the model report. Contextualised reading, videos, and discussion help you understand the case in greater depth.

  1. Choose a case

    Search the library, or filter by modality, region, or subspecialty.


  2. Write or dictate your report

    Answer as briefly or as fully as you like, from a quick diagnosis to a full report.


  3. Compare and learn

    See the model report alongside your report, with related discussion and learning resources. Ask the AI tutor to critique your report and help identify what you missed.

You don’t need an exam date to use Core. Whether you’re a first-year registrar, a candidate mid-revision, or a consultant keeping up with general radiology outside your subspecialty, you can use the same library to focus on the areas that matter to you.

Inside Core

  • The case library

    Search over 2,000 cases, or filter by modality, region, and subspecialty. Review studies in the PACS viewer, working through the images as you would in clinical practice. Then type or dictate your report, from a quick diagnosis to a full report.

  • Model report and case discussion

    Compare your own findings and interpretation with a model report, covering observations, interpretation, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and management. An accompanying case discussion gives additional depth. For personalised feedback or help with a difficult case, you can ask the AI tutor.

  • Videos and references

    Reporting videos and links to relevant Radiopaedia articles and further reading accompany each case. Look up unfamiliar findings and diagnoses as you encounter them.

  • Revise Points

    Each case you report earns points, and points take money off our Mastery and live courses. The more you learn, the less the courses cost. How Revise Points work

We plan to add more. Ideas we’ve floated include bookmarking cases, streaks, and CPD tracking. What we build depends on what our members want, so tell us what would help.
