Vivas

You will get a total of 12 viva sessions during which you will get to see a wide variety of cases. You get 8 hot seats, each lasting 15 minutes and followed by 10 minutes of feedback. When you are not in the hot seat, you will be observing other candidates on the hot seats. This is a great opportunity to learn how other candidates present and also the feedback they receive from examiners.

The Cases are presented to candidates on Postdicom where the candidates will be given links to the examiners' case folders for them to scroll through in real-time. The session will run to closely simulate the actual examination experience with 15 minutes of viva presentation followed by 10 minutes of feedback.

The selected set of examiners includes experienced as well as new FRCR examiners. This means that the viva packets they use are of a similar standard to the FRCR examinations.

Written Packets

There are 6 written packets which the candidate is expected to do before the course. There will be 2 sessions discussing the written packets during the course.

We expect that candidates aim to complete a long case packet in 70 minutes and a rapid reporting packet in 30 minutes.

Candidates will use the Revise Radiology website where they will get access to the written packets.

There are model answers available for all packets as well as pre-recorded videos with discussion of the packets.

Symbiosis International University

Symbiosis International University (SIU) is a prestigious family of educational institutions, comprising universities, colleges, centers, and schools, that collectively boast a rich tradition of delivering quality education for over half a century. The SIU journey traces back to 1971 when an inspiring incident prompted its inception. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, the founder of Symbiosis, witnessed a Mauritian student's battle with jaundice and the compassionate efforts of a girl who delivered food through a hostel window due to restrictions on female access to the male hostel. Touched by this situation, Dr. Mujumdar decided to create an institution aimed at easing the challenges faced by foreign students in India. The name "Symbiosis," derived from the realm of life science, symbolizes the mutually beneficial coexistence of different organisms, a fitting choice given Dr. Mujumdar's background as a botany professor. SIU's motto, "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," translating to "The World Is One Family," encapsulates its core values of caring, nurturing, and fostering a diverse and harmonious environment. SIU has since grown into a dynamic institution, hosting over 40,000 Indian and international students and offering them a holistic educational experience, global exposure, and a genuine immersion in Indian culture and hospitality. With a steadfast commitment to promoting international understanding through quality education, SIU remains a beacon of excellence in higher education.
