Get to observe our FRCR teaching sessions run in a viva format typically for 6 hours conducted as one full-day course twice a month, typically on the first Saturday and the third Saturday of every month.

In cases where courses are given priority, the extra monthly Viva session on the third Saturday may be rescheduled to another suitable Saturday within the same month.

• The purpose of these sessions is to build up your clinical and radiology knowledge so that you are able to answer questions that have a clinical angle. There will be a discussion on the radiology findings, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and management of various radiology conditions. 
• A good clinical and practical knowledge of various conditions will help towards the 2A examination.
•  All cases are shown on the screen but the candidate on the hot seat will be able to scroll through the images using our online PACS.

• The viva format is useful for the next stage of the examination  (FRCR 2B) and the cases we use are of a similar standard to the actual exam. 

• Delegates on this course also get access to recordings of 6 - 12 hours of viva format teaching per month

We will run study group sessions 5 times a week and twice on Saturday (except on major holidays and course days). There will be 1 session during the weekdays and 2 sessions a day on Saturdays. You can choose to attend at the time that is most convenient for you.

We will run study group sessions seven times a week (except on major holidays and course days). There will be 1 session on each weekday  except on Saturday when there is two sessions. Given below is the timetable for the sessions .  

Monday 14:00 - 16:00 UK time

Tuesday - 18:00-20:00 UK time

Wednesday 14:00 -16:00 UK time

Thursday - 18:00-20:00 UK time

Friday - 14:00 -16:00 UK time

Saturday - 09:30 - 11:30 UK time

Saturday - 14:00 -16:00 UK time

On these sessions we will provide cases with which you can take turns being examiner and candidate. Each participant will get 6 cases to use for examining the other person. 

Why are we running these sessions? Many candidates preparing for the 2A exams say they learn best when learning together.  Discussing 2A questions from FRCRExamPrep and sharing knowledge with each other helps with motivation and retention. Many people learn by teaching and by having other people teach them. 

The purpose of these study groups is to help facilitate this co-learning. The study group is one of the highlights of this subscription.
